Former New York City Council President (1986-1994) who appears in Epstein's address book with three phone numbers and in 845 documents in the released case files. Stein was part of the overlapping New York political and social world where Epstein operated. In a May 2010 email exchange, Epstein messaged Ghislaine Maxwell and his associate Felicia Taylor about Stein's tax fraud indictment, writing ‘andrew stein and the other ken starr indicted for fraud.’ Stein was convicted of filing false tax returns in 2010 in an unrelated matter.
Separately, Stein later served as trustee for the Maxine P & Martin Epstein Family Foundation (2021), a nonprofit organization. No allegations of sexual misconduct or participation in Epstein's activities have been made against Stein, and he does not appear in Epstein's flight logs.
