Former U.S. Attorney General (1993-2001), the first woman to hold the position. Served as AG during the early period when Epstein's activities were occurring in South Florida.
Before becoming AG, she served as State Attorney for Miami-Dade County (1978-1993), the same jurisdiction where Epstein had significant real estate and social connections. She died in November 2016. Named on the DOJ's February 2026 list of 305 politically exposed persons.
