Leonardo DiCaprio (born 1974) is an Academy Award-winning actor and environmental activist, known for films including Titanic, The Revenant, and The Wolf of Wall Street. DiCaprio's name appeared in the Giuffre v. Maxwell civil litigation documents unsealed in January 2024, and again in the DOJ's release of over 3 million Epstein-related files on January 30, 2026.
His name appears in two distinct contexts. In a deposition, accuser Johanna Sjoberg testified that while at Epstein's residence, Epstein would make phone calls and claim celebrity names on the line. When asked directly whether she had met DiCaprio, Sjoberg responded: "I did not meet them, no." In a June 12, 2009 email, Epstein wrote to former British politician Peter Mandelson asking whether anyone in India, China, or Japan might want DiCaprio to endorse non-U.S. products "to make some money." The email suggests Epstein positioned himself as having access to DiCaprio, though no confirmed relationship was established.
A spokesperson for DiCaprio told The Guardian that no calls ever took place between DiCaprio and Epstein. DiCaprio does not appear in Epstein's flight logs or address book. No allegations of wrongdoing have been made against him in connection with Epstein.
