American broadcast journalist born April 19, 1949. He spent 12 years at ABC News anchoring World News Tonight, Nightline, and the newsmagazines Day One and Turning Point. He was the first journalist to file a live television report from a battlefield during the first Gulf War and was also the first network journalist to cover the 1996 Mount Everest disaster in depth.
He has received eight National Emmy Awards, a Peabody Award, and an Edward R. Murrow Award. He appeared on at least one Epstein flight manifest alongside passengers including Nadia Marcinkova, Larry Visoski, Sarah Kellen, and Teala Davies.
